Older Releases
The 0.4x series of Zim is a rewrite/port of the old Perl code to Python and is being actively developed. The Windows installer for this branch is much smaller than the old one for the 0.2x series.

Release 0.51 through 0.52
0.51 was short-lived, and 0.52 wouldn't work right in Windows due to a bug (783811). Will fix in 0.53. Subscribe to this wiki's RSS feed or to the mailing list to hear about future releases.

Fixes: jpeg62.dll not found; Zim tries to write to log in "Program Files" and fails (now writing to $USERPROFILE/.config/zim); windows build ignores system locale; cannot open another notebook
Known bug: 0.49 fails to start on a new installation with no existing notebooks. See if this workaround applies to you.

Known bug: cannot open another notebook – Once you've opened one notebook, the Open command always fails after that. Workaround: be sure to register *.zim files to zim.exe during the installer, and just browse to the notebook's .zim file in Explorer and double-click it.
