====== Predicting Transit Vehicle Arrival Times ====== 2 October 2001 This paper presents a computer algorithm for predicting the arrival times of public fixed-route buses at their stops, based on real-time observations of the vehicles' geographic positions. It is the product of my research in the GeoGraphics Laboratory at Bridgewater State College over the summer of 2001, with a grant from the Bridgewater Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. * The main text (Also available in Star Office format) * Visual Basic code * Download the entire paper (4 May 2003) Addendum: The work has been completed and you can see the algorithm in action at www.e-transit.org/eta/.
