Your Portable Digital Life

Starting around fall 2008, I realized that I have become more obsessed than most people with portability of my personal data. I want certain pieces of my personal data accessible everywhere I go, whether it's instant access over the Internet, or periodic syncing from one computing device to another. When I'm at work, I run programs on my computer at home and project their user interfaces over the Internet onto my local desktop. And I try to future-proof my personal data by using open formats, and wherever possible, plain text.
